Cross-country skiing

From the village one can explore a myriad of ski opportunities for classical or backcountry skiing. Approximately 15 km of cross-country trails meander through the forests, lakes and marshes around our village. There are no ski resorts and few, if any, other tourists around.

For backcountry skiers, the wilderness is open for discovery. This is the best way to get close to the nature of Lapland. Make your own trail through untouched snow, experiencing the winter wilderness, a landscape of utter silence and breathtaking beauty.

We offer ski rental and expert instruction geared to the individual. The mainly flat terrain, rivers and lakes close to the guesthouse are ideal for beginner skiers. Or, why not book a wilderness ski experience using one of our wilderness retreat cabins as a base and making tours from there.
