Accommodation at Junosuando Guesthouse
Stay a few nights at our guesthouse in the quiet village Junosuando, a perfect place to take it easy and wait in comfort for the Northern Lights to appear. There is an excellent open view of the Northern sky by the house. Cross-country skis and snowshoes can be rented and there are 5-15 km of prepared ski trails around the village during the ski season, February to April. In the summer you can watch the midnight sun as it gets close to the horizon over the Torne River, just 100 metres from the house.
The guesthouse was once the village vicarage and is located centrally in the village. It is a beautiful old house with hardwood floors throughout and an open fireplace in one of the common rooms. It has six double rooms (two with attached bathroom and four that share two bathrooms), a self-catering kitchen and several spacious common sitting areas. Free WiFi.
There is just one regularly open restaurant and no other tourist companies in the village. The only shop is a small but well-stocked grocery shop where you can buy food to cook in the guesthouse kitchen.
Junosuando Guesthouse is 120 km from Kiruna and 3 km from Camp Three Rivers. If you book a stay at the camp before or after your stay at the guesthouse we will transfer you to or from Junosuando Guesthouse instead of Kiruna.
There are public buses from Junosuando to Kiruna on weekdays and Sundays. The schedule is infrequent so you should check that the bus schedule fits with your other plans. It is also possible to book our transfer.
